There is a large
number of species of fleas present between
us. Among them cat fleas is the most common,
known as cat flea. Cat fleas are not only
found on cats but on dogs too. And like other
fleas cat fleas also live on their hosts’
body. Cat fleas are also infectious and can
carry typhus and plague. The most common problem
faced by cat flea bite is inflammation on
the skin and dermatitis allergy (FAD) depending
on how much the host is sensitive.
Fleas can be easily detected by the odd behavior
of cat, and bloated stomach and flaky skin
can also be noticed in your cats. Detecting
fleas at an early stage will help you to cure
various disease and infections caused among
pets as early as possible. The simple precaution
which can be taken to prevent cat flea is
by taking care of your indoor and outdoor
surroundings. Always keep the surroundings
clean by vacuuming it on regular basis. However,
the priority should be keeping the cat clean
because mainly pets bring pests in home. So,
it is very important to take care of the pets.
Give a bath to your pets on regular basis
using anti flea shampoos that can be of great
help in the defusing pests. These shampoos
help to wash away the fleas and dirt present
on the pet’s body. Also keep the residing
place of the cats cleans which include their
bedding area or places often visited by them.
Along with the flea infestation shampoo flea
comb can also be of great help, as this will
help in combing out almost all the flea or
flea eggs those are present in furs of your
pets. Like the flea comb and flea shampoo
flea powder too has been proven good from
getting rid of fleas but be careful while
using it as it can cause some mess to your
cat and dog like respiratory distress.
However topical treatment for flea is counted
as one of the most successful treatments.
This not only discourages all the fleas but
also shows results within a month and is very
convenient to use. But before going for tropical
treatment products, it is advisable to check
out the strengths and weaknesses of the product
you are opting for and also which suits you
the best according to the weight and age of
the cat.
